Experience
I specialize in developing athletes of all ages, with a strong focus on technical growth and competitive performance. I currently serve on the coaching staff for Flatirons Rush USL2 & USLW, CO Select, Wheat Ridge Avalanche, and TOCA. My playing and coaching background spans several respected programs, including Indios Denver (WPSL), FC Denver (CPL), and the Skyline youth system.
Within the USL and WPSL environments, I’ve focused primarily on training college-level goalkeepers preparing for professional and international careers. Beyond team coaching, I work individually with over 30 private clients, ages 8 to 16, helping them refine their skills, build confidence, and reach the next level of play.
Athletic Highlights
I’ve always been a goalkeeper — and I always will be. My journey between the posts began in high school, where our team finished as 5A State Championship runner-up, earning me a spot on the CHSAA First Team All-State. I continued my playing career at Dominican College (NCAA DII) in New York, where I earned the starting goalkeeper position as a freshman and even had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica to compete against professional teams. I was also a walk-on for the school’s softball team, reflecting my passion for athletic challenge and versatility.
After college, I spent time traveling and unexpectedly discovered a new — and slightly painful — talent for rugby. In my late twenties, I returned to soccer with a completely new, analytical perspective on the game. I joined the semi-professional side FC Denver, where I played under Jami Cobb and alongside both former professionals and future pros, an experience that deepened my understanding of elite-level competition.
From there, a teammate and I joined Boulder County FC for their inaugural WPSL season, which led to an invitation to the WPSL International Combine. That experience expanded my knowledge of international recruiting, player contracts, and agent relations.
In late 2023, I was diagnosed with severe cervical spinal stenosis, which required surgery and temporarily paused my pursuit of an international playing career. However, this challenge opened a new chapter for me — one focused on coaching development and advancing my expertise in soccer analytics. My passion for the game remains as strong as ever, now with a deeper appreciation for both its tactical and human sides.
Session Plan
The foundation of my training philosophy is positivity. I believe that a goalkeeper’s toughest opponent is often themselves, and my goal is to help players build resilience, confidence, and long-term success through a positive and empowering environment.
My sessions are designed around trust-building and progressive skill development, beginning with mastering small, fundamental movements — such as quick footwork, hand-eye coordination, and controlled short dives. Rather than emphasizing perfection, I focus on learning concentration — helping goalkeepers stay engaged, analyze their movements, and grow from every repetition.
One of my favorite exercises involves having players start training in no-grip gloves. This challenges them to focus on the finer details of every catch and reinforces the idea that mistakes are part of the learning process.
Technically, my training emphasizes body positioning, spatial awareness, and reaction to realistic, game-like scenarios. Each session blends these elements into fun, competitive, and dynamic games, creating an environment where goalkeepers can thrive both mentally and physically.
